On Sunday, June 7th, the full moon rises at 8 PM, with sunset only minutes before. These conditions are very good for capturing photographs of the full moon, with good clear detail! We'll arrive at the site in the Badlands in plenty of time set up and catch that magic liquid light of dusk. As the moon climbs higher and becomes too bright for photographing, we'll turn our backs to it and shoot the incredible formations illuminated with moon light.
We'll meet at Whispering Pines Drive at 1 PM. You'll be chauffeured to Canyon Lake Park in roomy, Ford Explorer SUV's. Bring a good appetite since we'll be providing pizza at the park. While we relax, Greg, Linda, and Matthew will conduct an in depth debriefing on our expedition. We will ready you for possibly one of the most exciting and productive photo shoots you have experienced.
We'll keep your thirsts and appetites satisfied through the night as we discover the many wonderful photo opportunities in this very unique area. You will receive the training included in our three hour Low Light Outdoors Class, valued at $75.00. We will return to Rapid City by 2 AM.
